The HCPSS grading system gives each of the four quarters 20% weight and both the midterm and final exams 10% each. This calculator uses that official breakdown to estimate your final grade quickly and accurately.
Grade Calculation Example
Suppose you earn the following:
- Quarter 1: 90%
- Quarter 2: 85%
- Midterm: 88%
- Quarter 3: 92%
- Quarter 4: 87%
- Final Exam: 90%
The final grade is calculated as:
(Q1 + Q2 + Q3 + Q4) × 0.2 + (Midterm + Final) × 0.1
= (90 + 85 + 92 + 87) × 0.2 + (88 + 90) × 0.1 = 89.6%
